Trades Closed Under 60 Seconds and Compliance
When trading with Dominion Funding, adherence to responsible risk management rules is essential for maintaining account compliance and payout eligibility. One of the monitored behaviors involves trades that are opened and closed within a very short timeframe.
Is there a minimum trade holding time?
There is no fixed minimum holding time that automatically causes an account to fail. However, trades closed within 60 seconds are monitored as part of our Responsible Trading and Risk Management Policy.
A trade is considered a 60-second trade if it is opened and closed within 60 seconds, regardless of whether it is closed manually or automatically via Stop Loss (SL) or Take Profit (TP).
Why are trades under 60 seconds monitored?
Trades closed within very short timeframes often indicate:
Excessive risk exposure on short-term price movements
Increased sensitivity to market volatility and slippage
Trading behavior inconsistent with sustainable risk management
For this reason, repeated short-duration trades may raise compliance concerns.
Compliance implications
A single trade closed under 60 seconds does not result in an account breach or failure.
Account reviews are conducted holistically and may consider:
Frequency of trades under 60 seconds
Patterns of repeated short-duration trading
Overall trading behavior in combination with other rules
Only repeated or systematic violations may lead to non-compliance actions, which could affect payout eligibility or account status.
Important notes
Trades closed by SL or TP within 60 seconds are still counted
There is no automatic failure triggered by one or two occurrences
Consequences depend on overall trading activity, not isolated events
Tips to stay compliant
Avoid strategies that rely on rapid trade closures
Manage risk to reduce exposure to short-term volatility
Review all applicable rules before adjusting your trading approach
